Plans showing earthwork alteration to existing topography to ensure slope stability, protection of property, erosion control, water quality, and landform preservation and to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of persons, property, and the environment in accordance with applicable City Council policies and the standards established in the Engineering Design and Processing Manual and Grading Regulation Manual. Plans need to be prepared by licensed professionals as authorized by the California Business and Professions Code.
Note: Improvements, grading or any alterations to your private property or City right-of-way may trigger a need to get a permit from the City and to submit other types of plans or documents such as improvement plan, landscaping plan, and Storm Water Mitigation. Please consult with Engineering Division Staff, review submittal requirements check list, associated design manual, City codes and ordinances before you start planning your project.
Plans must conform to the following formats:
- Annual Erosion Control Plan Update Requirement (2023-2024)
- Unit Cost Prices effective February 4, 2008, for all projects
