Email Councilmember Robinson

Councilmember Rick Robinson was elected as representative for District 2 in November 2022. He has been a resident of Oceanside since 1988.  Rick previously served as Chief of the Oceanside Fire Department.  He holds several degrees and professional certifications, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Education and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management.  Rick is a graduate of the National Fire Academy, Executive Fire Officer Program.  In July of 2022, Rick retired from the Fire Service, concluding a 45-year career.

Rick is a Navy Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 760.  Additionally, Rick sits on the Programs and Personnel Committee for the Oceanside Boys & Girls Club.  Rick and his wife Cheryl recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.  They have raised four children here in Oceanside, all who graduated from El Camino High School.  Rick and Cheryl have eleven grandchildren.
